I frequent this store and usually just grab a beverage. Today, around 11 a.m., I decided to try something new and ordered a sandwich. I asked if they had breakfast options because the digital menu above the register did not show any. The employee told me they were still serving breakfast and handed me a paper menu. I ordered the TexMex wrap, which the menu described as turkey bacon, avocado, egg, and cheese. I asked for the salsa on the side. When I got home and unwrapped the sandwich, it was clear the bacon was pork, not turkey. I called the store and asked whether the wrap was supposed to come with turkey or pork. The employee told me they do not have turkey at all and that the menu he gave me was an older menu. He never informed me when I made the choice and paid that it was going to be pork bacon. If an item has been updated, especially something people avoid for dietary or religious reasons, the customer should be told. He did not seem to understand that point. I returned the $10 sandwich for a refund, but the lack of communication was the real issue.

I love this place!! Such an easy stop while on the rail trail. Their “Carter” sandwich is my go to!! Sooo good

One of the underrated spots in Uptown. I stop at Savi Provisions for a quick bite or drink and always end up staying longer than planned. Good fresh food, plenty of seating, easy relaxed vibe. Staff always friendly and welcoming.

I’ve been meaning to write this with you for a while so here goes… I grew up the daughter of Detroit entrepreneurs who owned what they call party stores. Savvy provisions brought an awesome concept to the perfect location on the Rail Trail where hundreds of people walk and jog! It is a spot surrounded by apartments. This convenience store is ideal especially since there’s too much traffic in SouthEnd if you have to drive someplace to pick up a little something that you can easily get here! I love the fact that they have a good amount of organic and natural options especially for cleaning. Lots of seating to just hang out for a bit. My daddy would have loved this concept! Bought 2 boxes of crackers here today and both were expired. Unfortunately we didn’t realize until after we started eating them. The one box had been expired since October of last year. Please do a better job of checking your merchandise before putting out to customers.
